This IDC study presents an analysis of the top 10 worldwide and U.S. application management (AM) services vendors of 2006, as measured by IDC's estimates of those companies' 2006 AM revenue. It analyzes the changing dynamics of the AM market and provides guidance to vendors on how to alter their strategy for continued success.

"Incumbent global vendors, such as IBM, Accenture, and CSC, continue to hold significant market share in worldwide application management services. However, competition continues to intensify, as West European and offshore players gain ground in the application outsourcing (AO) arena," according to Rona Shuchat, director of Application Outsourcing Services at IDC.
