Julie Wall is a research analyst with IDC's European Telecommunication and Networking group in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is responsible for IDC's European VoIP Services research. In this capacity she covers enterprise use of VoIP, consumer VoIP, hosted VoIP services (IP Centrex and hosted IP PBX), voice over enterprise WAN trends, and voice over IP VPN.
Wall joined IDC in 2005, before which she worked as a business analyst for Target, a U.S.-based mass merchandiser, and most recently worked as a conference producer for an events planning firm. Wall previously worked with IDC from 2001 to 2003 as the IP telephony equipment analyst, at which time she was regularly quoted in the international press.
She has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialization in finance and international business from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
