Carlos Villate has over 30 years experience in the Colombian IT market. He began his career with IBM in the mid-1960's, where he spent 12 years as a systems engineering manager. Following IBM, he worked as the data processing manager for CitiBank, the National Telecommunications Enterprise, Colseguros, and Intercor-Exxon Coal Mining Company in Colombia.
Mr. Villate had his own consulting firm, which included clients such as the Colombian Bankers Association, the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, and Banco de Bogotá. He was a member of the board for the Associación Colombiana de Unuarios de Computadores and was Colombian representative for Felaban, the Federación Latinoamericana de Bancos.
Mr. Villate holds a degree in Economics.
