Rosie Secchi is a research manager for IDC's European Wireless and Mobile Communications services. In this position she manages IDC's research on European Wireless Enterprises, such as mobile enterprise services and applications and mobile enterprise devices. She provides market intelligence on mobile services for the enterprise and mobile operators. Her primary focus is on mobile enterprise applications, enterprise mobile market sizing and forecast, 3G, and HSPA markets, as well as value-added services strategies and consulting support to clients.
Before joining IDC in 2000, Secchi worked as a research analyst for Romtec in the U.K. In that role she was responsible for managing various projects that included monitoring and analyzing the pricing strategies of more than 55 mobile operators in Western Europe, consulting support, daily news updates, study writing, and analysis and product presentations for clients around Europe.
She has presented at major industry events and she is quoted in major financial and industry news journals such as The Wall Street Journal, Computerworld, and the Financial Times, as well as in many online publications.
Secchi holds a first class honors degree in foreign languages from the University of Pisa in Italy, and a diploma in banking and financial studies. She is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish.
