Simone de Bruin
Program Manager, European Services — Partnering and Alliances

Team: EMEA Services
Simone de Bruin is program manager for IDC's European Partnering and Alliance research service and is responsible for research on partner networks developed by software and services vendors. Through consulting engagements she supports vendors in building and maintaining partner frameworks by means of focused strategy development sessions, alliance performance management advice, and structured partner satisfaction programs. Current and planned research includes sell-with alliances to sell-through channels and European strategy to local execution. IDC's structured approach to partnering and alliance strategy offers client support in the areas of planning, recruitment, development, management, and measurement of alliance and channel partners.

De Bruin joined IDC in 1997 to develop software research in the Benelux area. In this capacity she initiated software research initiatives for IDC as well as general ICT market trends, aligned to top stock exchange companies and the financial industry. Her interest in software channels and alliances started on a country level and has led her to her current European responsibility in the partnering and alliance research. Prior to joining IDC, de Bruin worked for three years as an information researcher at a Dutch venture capital firm, specialized in funding start-up IT companies. De Bruin holds a degree in business information and communication. She is based at IDC's Benelux office in Amsterdam and she is part of the European Services research group.
