Abstract

This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J7010106) aims to analyze trends in the domestic mobile enterprise market for the year 2007. Mobile enterprise is defined as a system linking businesses to mobile solutions, and which centers mainly on voice calls/data communications.

"According to the results of a survey conducted on domestic market enterprise in 2007, voice calls/emails usage constituted about 70%. The key to increasing implementation of mobile systems lies in the development of a solution focused on voice calls, and in the improvement of mobile phone security," observes Michito Kimura, Senior Market Analyst, Communications, IDC Japan.
