Abstract

This study discusses the market for hardcopy peripherals – single function and multifunction. It does not cover point-of-sale printers or small-format printers featuring widths of less than eight inches. Neither does it cover wide-format (A0) products sometimes known as plotters. The forecasts contain data for the Slovak peripherals market from 2007 through 2012. Unit shipment, value of shipment, and average street price (ASP) information is presented. Data for 2005–2007 is actual, whereas data for 2008–2012 is projected.

"Demand for complex printing solutions, outsourcing, and other value-added services is expected to grow. More companies are realizing that they can save time and investments by focusing only on their core businesses and letting third parties organize their printing solutions. Vendors should be able to provide customers with these kinds of value-added services to remain competitive on the Slovak market." – Radovan Kautsky, Senior Research Analyst, IDC CEMA
