Abstract

This IDC study looks at how IT adoption across Asia/Pacific has gained solid ground and investors are spending more but spending with their eyes wide open. IT spenders want better value and more improved products and services. Spenders are also willing to compromise brand names to achieve their top goal in order to reduce their cost structures.

"Vendors must develop appropriate business models to attract investment. They should also gear up for the expected rise in software and IT services as many countries in Asia/Pacific are moving beyond their infrastructure phase," says Sophia Dhrolia, contributing analyst, IT Spending, IDC Asia/Pacific.
