As Senior Research Analyst within IDC Canada's Infrastructure Hardware Research Group, Philip Barnes covers the Canadian Disk and Tape Storage Markets.
Mr. Barnes joins IDC Canada with over 7 years of sales experience at IBM Canada in both hardware and services business. He began his career with IBM's PC Direct Group, where he was responsible for the sales of laptops, desktops, x86 servers, and peripherals to end-user organizations. Most recently, Philip was the Data Center Services Sales Leader, responsible for providing assessment, design, construction, relocation, consolidation, strategy, and cabling services to the CID and SMB markets in Ontario.
Mr. Barnes holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Chemistry from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
