Michael Witty is the vice president of consulting for IDC’s Insights business units. In this role, Mr. Witty is responsible for leading and coordinating the consulting practices within IDC Energy Insights, IDC Financial Insights, IDC Government Insights, IDC Health Insights, IDC Manufacturing Insights and IDC Retail Insights. Previous to this role, Mr. Witty was the director of IDC Manufacturing Insights' Demand Management Strategies research service, providing supply chain executives with actionable advice on improving pricing management, channel coordination, and promotion resource allocation decisions across the demand management process.

Prior to joining IDC Manufacturing Insights, Mr. Witty was vice president of professional services for Syncra Systems, Inc. In this role he managed the consulting group responsible for implementing and providing customer support for the Syncra value chain collaboration and analytics solution.

Mr. Witty has also worked as a principal consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, Boston. In this role he was in charge of a successful large-scale SAP R/3 v4.0 and Manugistics implementation for a major poultry manufacturer through the complete implementation lifecycle.

Mr. Witty is professionally affiliated with the APICS and is CPIM certified. He holds a B.S. in operations management from Case Western Reserve University and received his M.B.A. Graduate Certificate Program from McCallum Graduate School at Bentley College.
