Operational excellence is at the heart
of a manufacturing company's success. The ability to introduce
new products, create sales growth, and fulfill demand productively
defines the operationally excellent enterprises of today. Transformation
of key operational processes using continuous improvement discipline
delivers the competitive advantage to compete in global markets.
Although manufacturing is a diverse industry, common business issues
prevail, such as the need to align supply and demand, reduce time
to market and foster and optimize innovation. To help you rise above
such challenges, Manufacturing Insights, an IDC company, has formed
the Operational Excellence Council, a professional organization of
executives from the manufacturing industry whose mission is to advance
the operational effectiveness of their companies.
The Operational Excellence Council will accomplish its mission by
providing a forum wherein the members establish the research agenda,
share best practice information and access dedicated research resources
such as benchmarking and inquiries with our senior analysts. Members
will also participate in quarterly on-site meetings and connect through
facilitated peer consultation calls.
The Operational Excellence Council is unique
from other peer forums because it has a global presence
and focuses on critical issues specific
to manufacturers, thereby creating the opportunity
for relevant dialogue and ultimately, the ability
to achieve a higher level of operational
efficiency. Through initial feedback from charter members,
the Operational Excellence Council has identified Manufacturing
in China, Warranty & Quality Management, and RFID as
key issues to be addressed through individual peer forums.
Manufacturing Insights is offering a limited number of charter memberships
to select executives from the manufacturing industry. We would be
honored to have you as a charter member. Please note, to preserve
the integrity of the peer-to-peer experience, members must meet qualifying
criteria.
